This is my new favorite toy. The ESP EX Standard series guitar built in Japan. I passed on an LTD built in Indonesia because I wanted to go right to the top. The thing I like most about this guitar is that the volume knob is moved out of the way so this allows my picking hand to go exactly where it needs to be when I'm shredding on the high strings. It's got a hard tail bridge so changing the strings and maintenance is a breeze.
Also to note is the neck scale length. It's a little shorter than the other guitars I've tried, but they sound a little more 'human' to me. It's not as precise and razor sharp in accuracy, but that's sometimes a desired sound.
