Traveler Guitar Original Escape Acoustic Electric Travel Guitar with Deluxe Gig Bag

Originally introduced in 2003, the Traveler Escape was designed with the acoustic player in mind. Built of satin stained alder and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays, the Escape has a traditional, more conservative look and feel. At only 29 inches long and weighing under four pounds, it's hard to believe that the Escape packs a full 25 1/2; inch scale fingerboard-but from the beginning, Traveler Guitar has never sacrificed the playing surface of a guitar and never will. The Escape comes equipped with a custom Shadow headphone amp which allows the player to plug headphones directly into the body for private practice. Plugged into a PA or acoustic amplifier, the Escape's remarkable and accurate tone means it can be used alone in the hotel or on stage with the band.

Gibson LG2 Arlo Guthrie Model 3/4-Size Acoustic Guitar, Vintage Sunburst

The Story of the Gibson Arlo Guthrie LG-2 3/4-Sized Guitar

In 2002, Arlo Guthrie contacted the brilliant luthiers at Gibson Acoustics and asked for help in reconstructing a guitar his legendary father--Woody Guthrie--had given him as a present in the early 1950s. The guitar was an old Gibson LG-2 3/4-sized guitar that was literally in pieces, yet Gibson decided to undertake the delicate task of restoring this instrument so dear to Arlo’s heart, and his father’s legacy. Several months later, after completing the restoration and presenting the rebuilt guitar to Arlo, Gibson decided to reissue the Arlo Guthrie LG-2 3/4-sized guitar as part of its Signature Series line of acoustics. It is a painstaking reproduction of a classic Gibson guitar, yet remaining true to Arlo's original in every way including an aged-like vintage replica finish.

Rosewood Fingerboard with Rolled Edges and Dot Inlays
The fingerboard of Gibson's Arlo Guthrie LG-2 3/4-sized guitar is constructed from the highest grade rosewood on earth, which is personally inspected and qualified by Gibson's team of skilled experts before it enters the Gibson factories. The resilience of this durable wood makes the fingerboard extremely balanced and stable, and gives each chord and note unparalleled clarity and bite. The LG-2 3/4-sized guitar’s dot inlays are made of genuine mother of pearl, and are inserted into the fingerboard using a process that eliminates gaps and doesn’t require the use of fillers. The fingerboard also sports a rolled edge--instead of the usual right angle where the fingerboard surface meets the neck, Gibson Acoustic's rolled edges are slightly beveled for an extremely smooth and comfortable feel, enhancing the playability of the Arlo Guthrie LG-2.

Body Tonewoods (back, sides and top)
The Arlo Guthrie LG-2 3/4-sized guitar is based on the body design of Gibson’s legendary L-00 small body. The top is made from AA-grade Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are constructed from Honduran mahogany, giving the Arlo Guthrie LG-2 3/4-sized a combination of tonewoods and features that produce a mellow, resonant instrument, capable of delivering a broad range of dynamics and bright, ringing tones. Selecting the right wood, and the formula to dry it out, are two of the most central procedures to Gibson’s guitar-building process. Beginning with its first catalog in 1903, Gibson has assured its customers that every guitar would be built using woods with "the most durable, elastic, and sonorous qualities," and today's guitars from Gibson Acoustic are no different.

Bracing
Every acoustic guitar made by Gibson features hand-scalloped, radiused top bracing inside the body, a feature normally found only in limited run, hand-made guitars. By scalloping each brace by hand, the natural sound of the acoustic is focused more toward the center of the body, enhancing the instrument’s sound projection. The body of the Arlo Guthrie LG-2 3/4-sized guitar is fitted with a historic ladder bracing pattern used on Gibson's early 19th century acoustics, capable of delivering a broad range of tight, balanced dynamics and bright, ringing tones, and faithfully producing the classic small-body Americana sound.

Nickel Gotoh White Button Tuners
Gibson's Arlo Guthrie LG-2 3/4-sized guitar features Gotoh's SD91 white button tuners. With a gear ratio of 15:1, the Gotoh's deliver precision tuning in a durable housing that provides maximum protection for the gear and string post. All moving parts are cut for exact meshing, eliminating the possibility of slippage, and a special lubricant inside the gear box provides smooth and accurate tuning stability.

Pickguard
The tortoise pickguard on the Arlo Guthrie LG-2 3/4-sized guitar is a small teardrop shape designed especially for the 3/4-sized acoustic guitar. As with all Gibson's pickguards, the coloring, inlay, binding, and engraving are all done by hand.

Rosette A rosette is the beautiful, hand-crafted circle around the soundhole, and can be one of the most ornamental elements of any acoustic guitar. It is also one of the most subtle and complicated woodworking decorations on any acoustic guitar. The rosette on the Arlo Guthrie LG-2 3/4-sized guitar is a single-ring rosette consisting of three-ply binding, adding a stylish, understated elegance to the Arlo Guthrie LG-2 3/4-sized guitar.

Taylor Swift's Fearless Baby: The Taylor Swift Baby Taylor Guitar (TSBT)

Inspired by memories of writing songs on her Baby Taylor, country pop sensation Taylor Swift collaborated with Taylor Guitars to design a signature Baby Taylor model. The Taylor Swift Baby Taylor (TSBT) features standard Baby Taylor specs, embellished by Swift's custom, screen-printed rosette design.

Taylor Swift: Singer, Songwriter, Actress, and Guitar Designer

Country-pop princess Taylor Swift unveils her signature Taylor Swift Taylor Baby (TSBT) guitar that's perfect for the singer-songwriters of tomorrow.

Taylor Swift designed the Taylor Swift Baby Taylor (TSBT) Guitar because she wanted to share her passion for playing guitar with her fans.
All About the Taylor Swift Taylor Baby Guitar (TSBT)

At three-quarters the size of Taylor Guitar's standard dreadnought, and with a slim 1 11/16-inch neck and a comfortable, compact shape, the guitar is just right for both the littlest player’s hands and anyone who likes to pick up and play on the go. Like the original Baby Taylor, the TSBT is crafted from sapele laminate back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top.

The custom design is all Swift's, featuring her well-known expression "Love, Love, Love" among delicate vines that encircle the soundhole. To commemorate the songwriting spirit of her album, the guitar features the word "Fearless" along with Swift's signature inscribed above the bridge.

Taylor Swift Talks About the Taylor Swift Baby Taylor (TSBT)

"I wanted to share my passion for playing guitar with my fans," Taylor Swift said.

"For a beginner, finding the right guitar can be intimidating, but this guitar, it's the perfect size. Even if you've been playing for years, it's a great size to travel with. I used to sit in the back seat of the rental car while I was on my radio tour at 16, writing songs on my Baby Taylor. I love the sound, and I love those memories."

The 19-year-old singer-songwriter, who has shared a close relationship with Taylor Guitars since she was just a precocious, aspiring preteen with very big dreams, has blossomed into one of music's most successful acts. Her sophomore album Fearless (whose release Swift celebrated at the Taylor Guitars factory last November) debuted on the Billboard Hot 200 at the top spot and has since gone on to sell over 4 million copies. Recently, she surpassed the 10 million mark for total albums sold and over 20 million paid downloads--more than any artist in country music history. Her headline tour this year included a recent sold-out show at New York's Madison Square Garden, where each song was accompanied by legions of singing and screaming fans, who at one point gave Swift a four-minute standing ovation.

The
Baby Taylor Series
The Baby Taylor is the ultimate travel companion, delivering volume and tone that surprise for its diminutive dimensions. At three-quarters the size of a full-sized guitar, the Baby Taylor lives for the road. It also loves little hands, which makes it an irresistible choice for kids taking lessons. Available with either a solid spruce or solid mahogany top.

Tropical American Mahogany Top
Mahogany is supple enough to make excellent, responsive bodies, yet sufficiently strong and stable to use in necks. Mahogany produces a bright, clear tone, with a unique balance that yields an expressive dynamic range in response to even the lightest touch. This makes Taylor's 500 Series guitars especially popular with fingerstyle guitarists and blues players, and it gives this particular Baby Taylor great looks and a more pronounced mid-range.

Sapele Laminate Back/Sides
This exceptional, mahogany-like wood grows throughout the tropical rain forests of Nigeria and the Ivory Coast of Africa. Ever since we introduced it in 1998, its legion of fans has grown exponentially.

As a tonewood, it's denser and harder than mahogany, so it has a crisper, clearer, brighter, "pop"-ier sound than its more familiar counterpart. Loud and robust, with a lovely ribboned grain, sapele has been used by Spanish guitar makers for many years.

Dreadnought Body Shape
The original Dreadnought acoustic guitar appeared early in the 20th Century, and its no-frills, no-nonsense shape made it a logical namesake of the huge battleships of that day. Most subsequent Dreadnoughts, including Taylor's, have been derivative of that early design. In 1997, however, Bob Taylor re-designed the Taylor Dreadnought by softening the curves at the top and bottom and generally refining its overall shape. In 2003, gloss-finish Dreadnoughts also underwent bracing refinements that substantially increased their overall volume and bass response, without sacrificing Taylor's signature balance and clarity. Dreadnought six-strings shine as "plectrum" or "rhythm" guitars because they respond well to flatpicking or light-to-heavy strumming.

Varnish Finish
A durable varnish finish offers protection, good looks, and a smooth feel to the touch. The spruce top's beauty shines right through.
